Thoughts on "Twelfth Night"?

So with the A Christmas Carol thing being ugh, the next thought to come to mind was this: Christmas Carol was kind of taking the place of a Shakespeare this year, as another "established work from the English literary canon"

If we dump it, we could replace it either with another Christmas-y piece (like Reckless, which some of you may remember from State last year), or with a Shakespeare (to keep our streak unbroken).

Twelfth Night might be the 'logical' choice, given everything else...

Well, apparently there are a couple theatre girls that unequivocally ADORE the premise oh dressing up as boys, but I do not share their enthusiasm to that extent.

Twelfth Night could be fun; I'm fine with yea or nay.

I'm apathetic.
no wait..
I don't feel anything.

twelfth night might be fun.

I am sure the girls just like dressing up, as anything.

Charlie Brown Christmas?
I'll be the tree.

Reckless sounds interesting as well...

I love Reckless, but either one sounds fun. Reckless would probably sell more seats because it's written so that the common public of the 21st century can actually comprehend it.

I like the analytical side of a Shakespeare show, however, if we do 12th Night (yes, I'm lazy and don't want to write it out), I DEMAND that it be done like She's the Man, with Amanda Bynes. If you haven't seen that, I also DEMAND a movie night for the cast of TAaM, where we will view that film..... But on second thought, we'd need hot guys in our theatre department to pull off the contemporary theme,so I guess one is out the window.
Sorry for what looks like spamming the site, I'm just bored and wanted to convey my feelings.

Gee that sounds swell. I hope we have the proper cast to pull off another Shakespear play though, cause, well... you know it went oh so smooth (according to some) last year.

i vote yes... but not a very enthusiastic yes. I MAY audition for it.

ooh, the She's the Man-ish version would be really coo, but the hot guy dilemma would be a tough one... maybe would could do a fundraiser and send the leads off for plastic surgery with a personal trainer.

I like that idea

I really love whoever said we'd need hot guys, which we indeed are sorely lacking in.
